Motive attributed to evil

The most essential of evils can come only from the most selfless of motives.

Causal relationship between God and the devil

It is widely held that God exercised his free will to create the devil, but the truth  is that God is merely the product of a lapse on the part of the devil.

This is a more rational premise if we are to follow the age old belief of God being the creator,  and devil the destroyer.

Free thinkers

There are no free thinkers. There are unconventional thinkers.

The essential nature of chaos in nature.

The sentiment in the positivist and even theological traditions relating to order and chaos may possibly be incorrect, or at the very least be  prejudiced. The alternative for it is given below; as it is without prejudice, for judgment.

Elements, forces and time such as it exists now ultimately is not tending towards chaos but is tending to order and nothingness of the undifferentiated whole. It is the sporadic action of chaos that is observable at the moment as the variety of the world. It is this chaos that allows for the essential differentiation required for life. Order is ever pulling the universe to inanimation. It is ripples of chaos in it that keeps things in motion. What is now perceived as excesses of entropy, the unbounded expansion of the universe, is actually a prejudice against entropy. Entropy is measurable,  which makes it formidable. The opposite of entropy(stillness) is not measurable,  hence it carries with it an aura of nobiliy. It is chaos which moved the universe from the absolute, even, whole into the differentiated whole. It was what precipitated variety in world. Where there would have just been ONE (one what? ) there is now many (many what not). The greater force of order will surely come about and THAT rather than chaos will bring about the destruction of the universe.

Chaos is essential to life as we understand and worship. In the origin of the material essential for life from the primordial soup of undifferentiated time, particles and forces, it was chaos that played the part of the prime mover.

Condition for the birth of a new idea

When should a new idea be said to have been born.  Is it at the point of conception? But the conception of an idea is an everyday matter.  Ideas take shape left and right, for it only to be drowned in the tide of popular sentiments. Even of ideas conceived in the mind of individuals, there is risk of gradual erasure from the force of flow of  everyday thoughts.  What essential condition should there be in the mind of the conceiver for an idea to first grow; then to grow enough that it overpowers the conventional ideas; and then to to burst out of the individual to the cultural sphere. The growth of the ideas in the cultural  sphere needs even more intense scrutiny.

The dual Essence of ideas.

The factual and the cultural. It is essential for an idea to have a cultural impact for it to be assimilated to the collective psyche. Language and art are tools that serve the purpose.

Japan vs India

A country where half the population is starving is said to have a vibrant economy, while a country where people  people enjoy one of the highest standard of living is said to have a weak economy.

Néw invention attributed to modern man

Who else can be held responsible for the hitherto unfathomable monstrosity other than the will of modern man.

Contrasting morality.

The Christian theme of the original sin is one that takes form time and again in all cultures at all times. For example, the elders of out time fondly remember a simpler time, before  education, enlightenment and  science gave man the ability to discern the dual nature of man.
This theme runs parallel, often in the same individual to the contradictory narrative of man having overcome the sin of ignorance and superstition to be better equipped to discern right for itself.

This is only one of the contradiction of man.

Fated for contradiction.

All world views invariably end up contradicting themselves at some point.

The twin purpose of morality

There is another purpose to morality than the ostensible. That of vanity. Morality doesn't just show the right path, but it also serves to stoke the ego of those who follow; this happens when they happen to come across someone who doesn't.  The gross form of morality serves mostly the latter purpose.

Of revolution and genocide

Revolutions are a mass movement, genocides are whims of a few mad Men, civil disobedience is the will of humanity.

Exclusion principle for greatness.

If racism, misogyny, or general hypocrisy were criterion for exclusion, we would be left with too few greats.

Hitler is judged unfairly.

He is the scapegoat for humanity's sins. As if he had power to single handedly sow the seeds of xenophobia in an entire population and bend the will of millions of  regular  people.  Regular is after all innocent.

The Kerala model.

We shouldn't restrict ourselves to the study of just the Kerala model of development. Kerala offers a model for study in all facets of culture, for it is not just in HDI that Kerala bucks the trend. Why high HDI coincides with such low levels of self-esteem, for instance.

Enlightend free will.

There are some who believe that the enlightenment gave birth to free will. Where up till then, the action of men were determined by his culture and ignorance, man now had the gift of true knowledge that allowed him to transcend history and culture and become the master of his destiny.

Enlightenment then is a certain fruit.

The opposite of depression is not happiness, it's conviction.

Sports and life

Sports reflects man's aspiration. In sports there are well defined rules and a distinct path to glory. But it is not the case in life.

Danger in philosophy

The real danger is a philosophy is evident only in its second generation.  The type of people who are attracted to a new philosophy is different from the ones who bred in it. Former may be liberals but the latter is always conservative.  This applies to liberal philosophies as well.

Guns don't kill people

MRI machines don't save people,  doctors do.
Religion does not kill people,  people do.
